Pi tutorials used tricks that no longer work or are fake click bait.

Use a multimeter to measure the 5V on the GPIO pins and/or get a new SD card. Even if your power supply claims to provide sufficient amperage, it may be mislabeled or the cable you're using to connect the power supply to the Pi may have too much resistance. 99.999% of the time it's one of these two things.
